Instructor

Prasanta Kumar Dutta is an information experience designer, working at the intersection of design, coding, and journalism at Reuters Graphics. With a background in engineering from NIT Durgapur and design from NID Bangalore, he crafts data-driven pieces that help narrate important stories visually. He has covered topics like Delhi's winter air pollution, Chandrayaan-2, Melting permafrost and climate change, COVID-19 tracking, and the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict. Several of his work has been recognized with numerous awards from the Society for News Design, FCC Kalinga Awards for Excellence in Digital Journalism, Webby Awards, and Reuters Journalists of the Year Awards. He also teaches and talks about data visualization, narrative cartography, and design at eminent institutes nationwide.
